About Me

Nidhi Gandhi is a writer, rhetorician, and educator from Queens, NY. She was one of the first three people to earn her BA in Writing Studies from Hofstra University. In addition, she holds a dual degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and Literature and a minor in Radio, Television, Film (RTVF). Nidhi is also a successful researcher and has published a methodological reflection in Young Scholars in Writing entitled, “My First Time-Conducting a Study as a Novice Researcher” and her research interests include, the politics of education, students rights to their own language, writing across the curriculum, digital and cultural rhetoric, and technical/professional writing. She is currently an MFA candidate at CUNY City College of New York, co-coordinator of the MFA Reading Series, and a frequent reader at Wordshed NYC. In her free time, Nidhi volunteers with cats, writes poems about bugs and stuff, and is a vegan.
